Can’t book an appointment over the phone, online or in person! I’ve been trying for 3months. Was told by my GP to just walk in so I did. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, didn’t care at all. I asked how I was supposed to book an appointment if every time I try I can’t do it, she just looked at me!!??? Honestly it’s ridiculous, I asked if I could book an appointment the next day and was told I’d have to come in at 8am and then try and get an appointment which would mean I could be waiting there all day!!
Absolutely brilliant clinic. The most respectful and professional and inclusive, non-judgemental staff.
If you could get through to the clinic they are amazing. The clinic has serious problems with making appointments and speaking to anyone.
The telephone system continously says we are to busy to take calls and disconnects you. Once you do get in a queue you wait in excess on 1 hour and very often disconnected again. Another organisation that is using COVID as an excuse for appallingly bad service. Pre Covid the service was
Incredible.
The good thing about this clinic for me was that they care about their patients and everything is confidential. They also provide good customer service.
amazing
Burrell St was brilliant. Its very light and has nice reproductive health decorations, the reception staff were lovely and the person who put in my coil was gentle and careful. Thank you so much and so grateful for the NHS and free reproductive care.
Absolutely fuming. I called Burrell street clinic and was on the phone queue. I was 22nd and spent over 1hr on the phone. It reached 1st place in the queue and the then call was terminated. I was told to call back later in the afternoon as its too busy.
I went to get an implant and my doctor was really helpful and friendly. They felt really good and professional. They also asked about my gender and pronouns in the form which I really appreciated, though it didn't come up in the examination so I don't know how well they practice it.
I have been a patient at Burrell for more than 2 years now.
The service the doctors and nurses offer is not good but, it is outstanding.
However, what really lets this clinic down is the wait time. Each and every time I have attended, the wait time alone is in excess of 1 hour. The display in the reception area reads that the aim to see patients within 30 minutes and this is not the case from what I experience and not others who also attend when I asked them. Both the doctors and nurses are consistently outstanding with the service but the management is so very bad. The reception staff are not at all approachable and normally if any clinic is running unusally late, the job of reception is to update patients but they do not but sit between themselves and reflect their irritation when you ask how much longer the wait maybe.
This review is not intended to be unkind but, upfront and honest in the hope that the management can somehow improve the unacceptable wait times and improve communications so that patients are given a choice if they want to reschedule instead of having to walk out because their extended lunchtime has exceeded their time calculation. My neighbour expressed that she waited in excess of 3 hours when she visited in December so what I am expressing is not an isolated experience as others too share this same view.
Centre was great, the text message service for when you can be seen worked really well.
